MSR has been built since 1971 on the standard Malcolm Smith set as a racer - eight ISDE gold medals and six Baja 1000 class wins. That same experience shapes the Xplorer, an adventure pant built for long miles, changing terrain, and unpredictable weather. Armor at the knees and hips stays out of the way until you need it, and a waterproof-breathable shell keeps you dry without trapping heat, so you stay comfortable through sun, rain, or altitude swings. The weather changes. The ride doesn't have to.

High-end adventure pant with top-of-the-line fabrics, armor, and hardware at an unbeatable price.
eVent alpineST 3-layer main body fabric is finished with a C0 DWR. This waterproof and breathable fabric will keep you dry in extreme rain and wet conditions.
SuperFabric overlays in the knees for great wear protection and abrasion resistance.
630D twisted nylon fabric overlays in high wear areas (seat, hem, and inner leg below the leather).
D3O LP1 CE Level 1 removable knee/hip protectors.
Knee armor pockets are adjustable.
Water resistant YKK AquaGuard Zippers throughout.
Comfortable mesh lining.
Embossed leather inner knee panel for increased grip and protection.
Accordion stretch panel above the knee for increased comfort.
2 large zippered intake thigh vents.
2 large zippered back exhaust vents.
Zippered hand pockets.
Bellowed cargo thigh pockets.
Reflective elements in key areas for increased visibility at night.
Ratchet style closure.
Hook and loop waist adjusters.
Calf adjusters.
Zipper gusset on lower leg with 3-position button closure (works with ADV or off-road boots).
Zip-together connection to jacket so the two layers stay locked together and don't ride apart.
