      Humble Beginnings

Wiseco was established in 1938 due to the founder's enthusiasm for the performance and racing lifestyle. When Clyde Wiseman began producing his own big-bore marine engine pistons in 1940 in his garage on the East side of Cleveland, Ohio, he did so for a specific reason: he wanted to fill a gap in the market by building the performance pistons he required (but was unable to find) to win races. This was accomplished by making the pistons in his garage. As word quickly spread about the high quality of Wiseman's pistons, he founded Wiseco Piston in 1941 to cater to the requirements of fellow motorsports enthusiasts who required performance pistons for outboard marine racing.

Wiseco Piston's roots are in racing, and the company was named after the sport. The starting stages of this company were challenging, just as they are for any new venture. Yet, despite everything, Wiseco persisted, and now the firm is one of the world's top producers of high-performance racing performance components. In 2021, the company and its team of high-performance personnel will celebrate its 80th anniversary.

      Advanced Technology

Engineers at Wiseco use the most up-to-date 3D design methods and finite element modeling software to ensure each design has the best possible strength while maintaining the lowest possible weight for each application. In addition to having a talented group of high-performance employees and a field-testing network, Wiseco's manufacturing facility and in-house facility are both excellent. This ensures that every product that Wiseco produces meets or exceeds the requirements and expectations of the motorsports industry.

      Hi-Tech Manufacturing Facility

The corporate offices of Wiseco are now located in a building over 150,000 square feet in size and include cutting-edge CNC machining and forging equipment. In addition, to improve its ability to service customers in regions outside of its home market in the United States, the firm has established sales offices, distribution centers, and manufacturing activities in strategic locations around the United States, Canada, and Europe. However, one element has stayed the same after 80 years: the Wiseco philosophy of "quality people making a great product."

      Supporting Racing Events

Wiseco has been a supporter of racing events, series, and racers for more than 50 years. Wiseco has sponsored the Grand National Cross Country Series, the ATV Motocross Nationals, Loretta Lynn's Amateur National Motocross Championships, and the Wiseco 2-Stroke MX World Championships. Wiseco continues to offer financial assistance to racers of all skill levels, which illustrates the company's dedication to the motorsports industry. It continues to provide financial support to racers and teams at all levels, from the local to the national, so that they may follow their ambitions of becoming champions, shattering records, and accomplishing their objectives.

Leading Brand of Piston And Powersport Gears

Forged pistons are the sole type of piston that Wiseco, the only brand of aftermarket piston maker in the United States, produces. This makes Wiseco one of a kind among aftermarket piston producers. The forging process begins with aerospace-grade aluminum and then compresses the material's molecules, increasing the aluminum's density and aligning the alloy's grain flow. This results in a high-quality product resistant to impact and improved material properties such as ultimate strength and flexibility. It is of the utmost significance when used in high-performance race applications, such as when higher horsepower and compression can strain an engine's components more than a standard engine.

Besides providing pistons, Wiseco offers various bearings, replacement wristpins, engine kits, and rebuild accessories. Those looking to modify their bike's engine capacity or improve performance can find almost every necessary tool and equipment. For instance, the components of a Big Bore kit allow you to expand your engine's displacement to the maximum safe level. The Bottom End Rebuild Kit offers a shot peening process to eliminate any remaining stress and helps the surfaces merge more seamlessly. In addition, the dimpling on these coated bronze thrust washers helps keep oil in and reduces friction.
