History of the Dedicated Founder Leading to Success
In late December of 1966, Gilles Soucy was working as a heavy machinery operator, leading him to injure his finger and stop working temporarily. He was always a snowmobile enthusiast with natural business skills which helped him derive an opportunity to sell snowmobile clutches. After an instant success, he decided to start his own company called Gilles Soucy Inc. (GSI), now known as Kimpex.
With great motivation, Gilles Soucy started to serve his customers by revamping an old-school bus and selling the products on the road from dealer to dealer. Half a decade later, as his business started flourishing, he decided to build a warehouse to serve the customers better. In 1978, the snowmobile industry and many factories were stopping their activities. Soucy took the opportunity to buy industrial equipment to manufacture parts. The brand began the production of snowmobile tracks, windshields, and variant metal parts.
Alongside they started distributing Suzuki Outboard Motors for Eastern Canada. In 1987, M. Soucy decided to go beyond the Canadian borders and open a distribution center in New York. Despite the ups and downs in the business, the founder managed to take the company to soaring heights.
During May 2005 to September 2005, Kimpex created a whole new line for ATV enthusiasts called Commander featuring track kits for the ultimate outdoor experience.
