The Foundation of Hinson Racing
Wayne Hinson's passion for motorsports and engineering led him to found Hinson Racing, an automotive company specializing in high-performance clutches. Wayne Hinson started the company now known as Hinson Clutch Components in 1992. Wayne meticulously crafted the race bike's custom parts, including seat latches, air box rings, counter balancer brackets, and clutch baskets. In addition, Wayne would fabricate essential components for the race bike but not commercially accessible.
It is committed to building the best clutches in the industry; its engineering team is dedicated to providing the highest quality product and accessories for drag racing, powerboating, and bike racing.
Milestones Achieved
The legendary American Honda Factory SX/MX squad of Jeremy McGrath and Steve Lamson adopted Hinson Clutch Components' clutch baskets in 1996. It began Hinson's journey into reliable brand recognition as a quality supplier of aftermarket performance products. During the 2007 racing season, the American Honda Factory Superbike team opted to use slipper clutches manufactured by Hinson Clutch Components on their Honda race bikes.
