BelRay was started by William (Bill) Kiefer, an innovative entrepreneur and chemical engineer who specialized in creating high-temperature bakery lubricants in his family’s suburban New Jersey garage.
His innovation helped the brand launch a specialty lubricant to use in high-temperature bakery ovens. This lubricant paved the way for BelRay’s Industrial division.
